According to Paul Amsellem, head of Nokia France, Nokia will have a tablet running on Windows 8 in June 2012. This he told in an interview with Les Echos newspaper. Whether this is true or not, Stephen Elop probably isn't too happy when he hears this. Nor will Steve Ballmer, for that matter, since Microsoft has not yet set a release date for Windows 8. I only hope Amsellem will find a little comfort in the fact that most of the people who are following these kind of things were pleased to be able to read this information when Elop and Ballmer give him a "friendly" call.

In the interview, Amsellem also compared the Nokia Lumia 800 to BMW 5 Series and that soon Nokia will have the full range with a 7 Series and 3 Series. With BMW 7 Series he probably referred to the rumoured Nokia Lumia 900 (Ace).

In completely unrelated news, Nokia is currently searching for a new head for Nokia France. There is not much information yet about the requirements except that he or she needs to be mute. What a strange requirement! While I do applaud Nokia for doing its part in helping those who are suffering from muteness, I think this might be a bit discriminatory for those who are not mute.

I read that microsoft have made a deal with HTC for making new tablets with the 1366×768 resolution. For now there are not many tablets with such resolution and they are pricey. One thing is for sure, we will be spending lot’s of dollars when windows 8 come out :)
I heard samsung slate 7 is a good choice – here is a review http://windows8-wiki.com/win-a-free-samsung-slate-7-tablet
